Since its establishment in 2012, the Cherokee County Education Foundation has awarded nearly $1,000,000 in grants to CCSD students, teachers, and schools. In years past, applicants could apply for Rapid Grants in some parts of the school year, while applying for Impact Grants over the weeks of winter break. This year, CCEF is proud to announce a change to our grant application process that will allow for teachers, faculty and staff to apply for funds starting today, July 1st 2024!
How It Works
When our first application period opens from July 1st, 2024 to August 31st, 2024, Cherokee County School District teachers, faculty and staff can apply for funds through Rapid Grants and Impact Grants, and if approved, receive funds before the first quarter of the 2024-2025 school year is over.
To get started on your application, visit www.ccefga.org/grant-application. From there, pay close attention to the instructions to fill out either a Rapid Grant or an Impact Grant. Rapid Grants are for those seeking up to $500.00 in funding. Impact Grants are for those seeking anywhere from $501.00, all the way up to $2,500.00 in funding for their school, department or classroom.
What to Know When Applying
If you have applied for one of our Rapid or Impact Grants in years past, one change you will notice is that the two applications are now combined and the questions will change depending on the dollar amount of your grant request. It will be very important for your requested amount to match up with the proper grant category; if not, it may take longer to process your application correctly.
Additional Application Periods
The good news doesn't stop there, CCEF will host two more application periods throughout the 2024-2025 school year as funding needs arise in classrooms all across Cherokee County.
Our second grant application period will open October 1st, 2024 and close on November 30th, 2024, and if approved, applicants will receive funds before we break for the holidays.
Our third and final grant application period will open January 1st, 2025 and close on February 28th, 2024, and if approved, applicants will receive funds before the third quarter of the 2024-2025 school year is over.
CCEF's aim for this new grant application process is to provide funding and aid for teachers throughout different periods in the year, as needs can vastly change from the first day of school to new ideas that may come to life as we grow and change with our classrooms.
Bringing Classroom Grants to Life
In our Cherokee County community, contributions from our sponsor and community members are very important to the success of our grant programs. The Cherokee County Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and seeks funding and resources to enrich the Cherokee County School District in areas not fully funded in the regular school program. Your contributions will go towards grants aimed at five initiatives outlined by CCSD:- Student Achievement: Equity & Success
- Organizational & Operation Effectiveness
- Family, Partner and Community Engagement
- Positive Culture & Climate
- Quality Workforce
