All six Chick-fil-A locations across Cherokee County banded together to hold their Annual Chick-fil-A"Moove It" 5K road race at the Etowah River Park. The event drew more than 1,500 registered runners and supporters, and is the largest event of its kind in Cherokee County as well as North Georgia.
The road race was supported by many community sponsors and donors including Southeast Restoration, Northside Hospital Cherokee, Carriage Kia of Woodstock, Children's Healthcare, Yanmar Evo Center, Cobb EMC Foundation, Georgia Power, Universal Alloy Corporation, Credit Union of Georgia, and Jey Willis State Farm Agency.
"The event was a way to bring community together for a fun morning with focus on healthy habits while supporting charities close to our hearts," said Kevin Williams, owner of the Riverstone, Market Place, and Hickory Flat Chick-fil-A locations.Williams also serves as Vice-President of the Cherokee County Educational Foundation.
Keith Booth, owner of the Outlet Shoppes Chick-fil-A location started the race several years ago to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics.
